Market Link Auctions
Bring your asset to an open market.
Market Link Auctions puts intellectual property, purchasing contracts, mineral rights and carbon credits in front of an identity-verified bidder base, and lets competition set the price on a schedule you control.
Getting started
Three stages before your lot goes live.
- 01
Register and verify your identity
Create an account, confirm your email and submit a government-issued ID and proof of address. This is the same check every bidder passes, and it is what makes the bidder base worth selling into.
- 02
Apply for seller access
Submit your business details for review. An administrator checks the entity behind the account before seller tools are unlocked, and records the decision with a reason.
- 03
Prepare and submit your lot
Choose the auction format, set the starting price, reserve, minimum increment and schedule, upload photographs and documentation, and submit for release. Administrators review the listing before it becomes public.
What you control
You define the deal. The platform enforces it without exception.
- Auction format
- Ascending, where the highest bid wins, or descending for purchasing tenders, where the lowest qualifying bid wins the award.
- Starting price
- The opening figure bidding must meet, or the ceiling in a descending tender.
- Reserve price
- The minimum you will accept. Reserves are published, so bidders know exactly what the lot needs to reach.
- Minimum increment
- How far each bid must move, which sets the pace of the room.
- Schedule
- The opening and closing times, attached to a scheduled auction event.
- Presentation
- Title, description, photographs and supporting documents — registration numbers, tenement identifiers, registry serials and permits.
What happens once bidding starts
The listing locks so the deal cannot move.
As soon as a lot receives an accepted bid, the commercial terms are frozen: price settings, format and schedule can no longer be edited, and the lot can no longer be cancelled by you. That protection is what gives bidders the confidence to commit real money, and it applies to every seller equally. If something genuinely goes wrong, an administrator can intervene, and the intervention is recorded with a reason.
You can follow the auction room live, see accepted bids as they land, and watch anti-sniping extensions push the closing time out if bidding is still active in the final two minutes.
At close
Outcome, notification, settlement.
When the lot closes the platform determines the result, applies your reserve, and writes a single outcome record. If the reserve is met, you and the winning bidder are both notified and the winner receives the total due — the winning bid plus tax and buyer's premium. If the reserve is not met, the lot closes unsold and you can relist it in a later event.
Winning prices after close are visible only to you, the winner and administrators. Other bidders never see who bought what, or for how much.
Preparing a strong listing
Documented lots attract serious bidders.
- Prove the asset exists
- Attach registration numbers, certificates, registry serials, permits or contract references that a buyer can independently verify.
- State the encumbrances
- Renewal dates, conditions, restrictions and obligations that transfer with the asset. Surprises kill settlement.
- Set a realistic reserve
- Reserves are public here. A reserve far above the market discourages bidding before it begins.
- Allow enough runway
- Give bidders time to complete identity verification and review your documentation before the lot opens.
